The SUMMERKIWI™ has less acidity and more sweetness than other green kiwifruit – making it much more desirable fruit. SUMMERKIWI™ retains its unique delicious flavour as it ripens and softens allowing it to mature well in the fruit bowl or refrigerator. 

Colour

The attractive, star shaped, vibrant green pulp of SUMMERKIWI™ makes it instantly recognisable amongst its peers. Once cut the the depth of colour in SUMMERKIWI™ stands out from all other kiwifruit. 

Fresh

SUMMERKIWI™ has a unique, sweet flavour. SUMMERKIWI™ ripens on the vine, allowing it to achieve sugars of up to 18° Brix. This rapid transformation of starches into sugars enables consumption just a few days after harvest. Combining vine ripening with early early harvest ensures vigilant kiwifruit lovers are pleased to see fresh new season kiwifruit coming into stores earlier than ever.

Tender, Aromatic & Juicy

The white core of SUMMERKIWI™ is as tender as the pulp, allowing the whole fruit to be consumed – with no wastage. SUMMERKIWI™ also has an intense aroma and a refreshing juiciness.

Kiwifruit are nutritionally rich and SUMMERKIWI™ is no different. SUMMERKIWI™ has a high mineral content including: calcium, phosphorus, potassium, iron and magnesium as well as Vitamins A, B, B1, B2, B6, C, E and folic acid. It is another way to add essential nutrients to a healthy daily diet.

Longevity

SUMMERKIWI™ has low acidity giving a high resistance to fermentation. This enables the fruit to stay in the best possible condition for a much longer time period than other kiwifruit.

SUMMERKIWI™ is the trademark used for the first, green pulp, early ripening kiwifruit variety. The variety was created in Faenza, Italy after 20 years of research. The research was the result of the life’s work and experience of Dal Pane Vivai, and has been officially acknowledged by Italian and French Institutions.
